To continue on with another special sighting at NeoCon, I wanted to feature the SPUN CHAIR, designed by Thomas Heatherwick for Magis. Doing the regular NeoCon “networking” rounds at all the showrooms I came across the Spun Chair which is not only practical and completely usable- but is sure to make you and others laugh! It’s a chair that is unusual, innovative, attractive, sculptural, and fun to use! It was almost to the point where I really didn’t want to get up- I was having too much fun, just like a kid again! The first learning-curve you are faced with upon taking a seat is one based on trust- you have to trust that you will not topple over! Once you build your trust with the chair, and establish a comfortable relationship, you’re sure to have the SPIN of your life!
