Walmer Loft by Duddeldam Design Architects
Located in Toronto, Canada, a 1920′s duplex apartment was converted from a series of dark rooms to a modern graphic designer’s residential loft space. The charm of the building’s exterior was maintained while its interior was transofrmed into a clean and open modern space. There is a contrast between warm and cool achieved through the finishes throughout. The renovation actually opened up 400 square feet through a new loft area in the attic creating new rooms without extending the footprint of the property.
