Usually we tell our clients that it is best to go with neutral colors for the big pieces of furniture and then to inject color into the space with the accessories….pillows, vases, flowers etc.  That way if you get bored of your color scheme then it is easy enough to change things up without breaking the bank.  We also tell clients that it is best to have focal points so that there isn’t too much competition in the room.
