SO why are most of us always afraid to go bold?  I was thinking recently just how much I appreciated residential, retail, or even hotel spaces that utilized black into their interior spaces.  It’s a colour that wont ever go out of style, and provides a captivating look that surely will turn heads!  Maybe you’re afraid it will make your space look smaller?…well in my experience i’ve found that it can sometimes provide a more impactful backdrop than white, while creating a more intimate atmosphere.  Here’s my suggestion: don’t necessarily splash it everywhere but rather start with a wall/a column/a ceiling…just something!  I like it. So will you.

    Aleem,
I can totally relate to your above suggestion. Most of our moldings in our house are black. We love the look! A lot of people thought we were crazy when we decided to do it 5 years ago, but we still love it today. I agree it is timeless and classic.
Can’t wait to watch you grow with your career.
    All the best,
    Lea Ann

    Lea Ann,

Looks like you were ahead of the game! I’m so glad that you can relate to this design suggestion, and your home is stunning as i’ve seen many photos! So the lesson in your case is: Do what you like and not what others tell you!

I also am excited to see you grow with your new business as well… Much love to you and the family!

    Aleem
